2024 PeeWees Superbowl Champs!!
About Us
Silver Lake Youth Football is a recognized 501C3 Non-Profit organization, which provides a youth football program to over 150 youths in the Kingston, Halifax and Plympton towns. The organization is open to both boys and girls ranging from grades 1 through 8. SLYF is a member of the Old Colony Youth Football League (OCYFL) which has over 22 member towns located in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The football season begins practice usually around the 2nd Friday of August and runs through October, with Playoffs running through mid-November. In the month of August practices are 5 days a week for 2 hours a day, 5:30p-7:30p. After Labor Day, practices are Tues-Thurs, with Junior Varsity Games on Saturdays and Varsity Games on Sundays.
SLYF is run entirely on a Volunteer basis. There are no paid positions within the organization so your help is needed to make our organization a success. Each job – however "big or small" is important and valued! It takes approximately 40-50 people to cover all the jobs for just one home game day! We usually schedule 6-8 home games a season and have a host of other jobs that are necessary in running the organization. To accomplish a successful season, we require every family give a minimum donation of their time representative of how many children they have participating in the program.
