January 20th Meeting Minutes 

Roll-Call:

Secretary Report

  • Previous minutes approved.

Treasurer Report

  • 600$ fine due (Apponequet Super Bowl) at February OCYFL

meeting (January 28th).

Notes: New treasurer present (Erin Mota)

OCYFL Update

  • X-Men rule almost passed. Voting options may come into play at

next OCYFL meeting.

  • Per current bylaws SLYF should be considered D3. Which of the

three options given serves our program best. All divisional games,

etc..

  • Should the bylaws for D7 be rewritten to sound less arbitrary?

Equipment

  • 30 new speed flex helmets bought (totaling $9339.95). Total # of

helmets 136 (90 of 136 are speed flex). 


  • New pant style $108.00 per pair vs. refurbishing eligible pants for

$4.00 per pair. Maybe push buying new pants to next year or

ask/encourage parents to buy practice pants in the future.

  • Absolutely no tape on helmets (if need be-painters tape only-for a

maximum of one practice week). 

 Give parents clear and concise written instructions on how to care

for equipment-at pick up.

 Set up a booth for cleat donation at camp (tentatively).

 December calendar fundraiser brought in $4620.00.

 Super Bowl squares to be posted for purchase $20.00 each.

Misc.

 Restructuring of volunteer duties.

 Have coaches do field set up and takedown.

 Increase volunteer shifts from 3 shifts to 4. (required)

 Increase volunteer deposit to $300.00.

 Increase equipment deposit to $500.00.
